On Christmas day soaps

‘East Enders’ once again has emerged as the top winner in viewership on Christmas day. The news has reported that it got million people watching it. I am not a huge or a regular follower of the show but I will say that the Christmas day episode was well shot with Stacy’s story taking a good turn towards the closure. BBC does come up with good programs and they notched up 8 spots of the top 10 most viewed items on the Christmas.

The episode on Christmas saw that finally after six and a half years “Stacy Branning” leaves the Albert Square. The character finally faces the consequences of what she did to Archie almost a year ago. So her departure was eminent. But her last words about loving Bradley were finely written. She also finally comes clean before jetting off with Lily. She also admits to Ryan that she does not love him. Finally Rayn and Max are now both up to making some really tough decisions.

My wife thought it was a well written great episode. My neighbor loved the moment when Stacy hears Bradley’s voice (she was at our place to watch the episode) But kudos to BBC for notching up the top spot with this soap second time in a row.
